WW Getting Patriotic

Happy Wednesday!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day.  My daughter and her hubby took
my hubby out to dinner on Saturday and then on Sunday they invited us for dinner.
So I guess it's safe to say he had a good weekend.

For our challenge this week with Whimsical Designs, Stephanie challenge us to make
something patriotic and use the colors red, white and blue.  Our sponsor who is
Eureka Stamps let us have an image for our project.  I picked "Liberty Balloon Holder".
But as you can see I didn't use a balloon.  Actually I didn't even realize her name until
now.  So just pretend, as my grand daughter would say, that you see a balloon.
I think it would look cute. :-)  And here it is...

Everything that I used was from my stash.  Loose paper from Micheals or Joannes.
Stars are from recollection.  The light blue flower with the clear stone you see
was made by Stephanie herself about a year ago when we participated in a swap
together.  The sentiment is from her stamp set "Everyday Sentiments"

Our sponsor will be giving away 5 digis of the winners choice.
Good luck and I will be back soon with another project.

hugs

Beach Bum Lucky

Hello there

How are you all doing?  Today I want to share a simple card with you that
I created for my DT project with SNSC.  I decided to use Beach Bum Lucky
since it's hot out and a lot of people are thinking about the beach.  So, here is my
cute and simple sweet card.

I used the 6 x 6 paper pad call "Sunshowers" by Heidi Grace.  The chipboard
embellissements are from Me and My big ideas.  I also added a piece of mesh that
I had in my stash. I did color Lucky with my copics and popped him
up with pop dots.  And so my sweet friends this is my simple card for today. :-)
I hope you are all enjoying your summer so far.
You Tube Video  for this card.

Stay safe and big hugs

inchie that I created for a swap at MyScrapRoom.ning.com  The image that I use was
given to us by our sponsor to use in this project. And then colored with copics.
The sentiment is from Whimsical fun Vol.1

Just A Few Friends Father's Day Blog Hop

Hello

How are you?  I hope the answer to that was great!! I am because I'm off today :-) Yay!
Today we are having our Father's Day card Blog hop with Elsa at Just a few designs.
Hopefully you started the hop with Elsa and now you're coming to me from Sherain.

Elsa challenged us this month to create a Father's Day card.  It was lots of fun discussing
this in our  FB group since many of us have a hard time creating masculine cards.  For my
cards I was inspired by my grand daughters.  Since I will be giving these to them to give
away I decided to create through their eyes, if that makes any sense to you.
I know what they like and so this is what I came up with....

For the first one I used the 6 x 6 paper "Playdate" by MME.  I added some scrabble
pieces to go with the sentiment which is a Fiskars clear stamp set.  On the second card
the first layer paper is from "On the bright side" also from MME.  The second paper is
from Tim Holtz.  I used a Bingo card and the sentiment is from Joanne's dollar bin.
The mustache is from Spare parts as well as the washi tape.  Then the scrabble pieces,
and two cards done for their Daddy and their Papa.  Here is my YT Video for details.

Since I am the last one on the line up, I want to thank you all for hopping
along with us.  I hope that we all have inspired you in some way and that you had
fun.  Maybe tag us and show us what you create.  And have a wonderful
Father's Day with those you celebrate with.

Vintage

Hello there

How is everyone doing?  Here in Virginia we are enjoying our
Cicadas.  Yes, every 17 years they come out and they are very loud.  But
very interesting.  I know it's driving a lot of people crazy but I'm actually
enjoying them.  I mean think about it, every 17 years.  That's pretty cool.
Oh and did I mention as long as they don't touch me that it.  LOL

Today Stephanie at Whimsical Wednesday challenge
us to create something Vintage.  All she asked was for us to give it a Vintage feel.

I altered a small box using Graphic 45 paper "Le Romantique".
I used gold acrylic paint on the box and then Mod Podge to place the paper down.
I added a couple of flowers and added some gold glitter on the edges. Then I added
a Tim Holts ornate plate.  Inside the plate I added the sentiment "Sweet friend"
from the "Everyday Sentiments" stamp set.

Our Sponsor this week isScrapping Memories
The prize is 5 free files of winner's choice.

Thank you for dropping by.  I can't wait to see your Vintage creation.
Have a great day

Recycle it

Hello my sweet friend

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you all had a great Memorial weekend.  I was on
vacation last week and had a great time.  Visiting Williamsburg VA and it's
history was very exciting.  So enough about me, this week my DT project for
Whimsical Designs is "Recycle it."  Our challenge was to
create any project and use something you would normally throw out.
So I decided to make a smash book and use a cereal box for my front and back
cover.  I also recycled old composition paper I found in my daughter's closet
from when she was in High School.  LOL  she's 23 now!!

My smash book / Junk journal is 6 X 9.  I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the
cereal box.  I then cut the composition paper to the same size.  The inner inserts were
old scrap paper I had in my stash.  I added a chain and some charms, including the keys
which are from Micheal's dollar bin.  Both sentiments are from Whimsical Fun Vol. 1

My YT video for this project is HERE.
Lets see what you have to recycle.

Our Sponsor this week is: Inky Impressions - $10 gift certificate

I hope you enjoyed my Smash books / Junk journals.
Have a great day!

"Mix it up"

Happy Wednesday!!

How is everyone?  Great I hope :-)  As you know, it's time for another
Whimsical Designs  challenge.  Today the challenge is "Mix it up".
We had to create a project using some type of mixed media.
Here is my project....

I first glued down some canvas paper to my tag using Mod Podge.
I then sprayed some of Lindys spray.  Ocean Breeze blue, Plumeria Pink
and Aloha Avocado.  I also used some stencils with molding paste.
Flowers are IAM and Wild Orchids.  I cut the chair with my Cricut using the
Heritage cartridge, which I then sprayed with Sugar Plum Fairy Glimmer Mist.
The sentiment is from Whimsical fun Vol.1.  The image I've had for a while
so I don't remember where I got it from.  And then to finish it off some lace at
the bottom, and trim on top.  I gave it to my mom along with her Mother's Day
present and she loved it.  Yay!

Our sponsor this week is Tabitha's Shop.  2 digi paper stacks of winner's choice.

Take care my friends and I can't wait to see what type of mix media you will
be creating.  I will be looking.  Don't for get to tell me what you think of mine.
hugs my friends,
Yvette
